MySpeed Server Professional, NOC, and Support Editions include a test results database. This provides the network and customer support groups access to the speed and quality results both in summary and detail form. A variety of report options makes the data available for selection, review and reporting in a number of different ways.
To see the database reporting module in action for the Visualware Public MySpeed Server, just click on the following URL: NOTE: the IP addresses and host name have been suppressed from the Visualware public reports for privacy concerns. The server administrator options include the ability to show/hide IP addresses, and set username/password for restricted access. To view specific test results, you may specify a date, IP address, domain name, or session ID, or specify a range of these filters using a wildcard filter (*).Line Graph The Line Graph displays the performance meterics of multiple tests, providing a view of data trends over time. Download Speed Graph This graph is shown in the Report Detail, it illustrates how the download speed fluctuates during a single test, a good quality connection will demonstrate very little fluctuation in download speeds. TCP Gap Chart This graph is shown in the Report Detail, it illustrates the pause between sending subsequent blocks of data during a single test. A good connection will have both a low TCP gap (less than 50ms), and also demonstrate very little fluctuation in the TCP gap values. Session ID The Session ID capability enables you to tag each user's report results with a text string which appears as a column in MySpeed server reports, useful for identifying an individual's test results for help desk services or troubleshooting connectivity issues. Remote Test Agents When used with Remote Test Agents of the NOC Edition, the performance database and Session ID provide an effective means to easily identify test results from specific remote systems, locations or network segments. Remote Support Agents When used with Remote Support Agents of the Support Edition, the performance database and Session ID provide an effective means for support technicians to easily identify test results from individual remote customers. |
