WEB PAGE CUSTOMIZATION
The MySpeed Server speed test applet can be easily incorporated into your own web pages. Details.

LANGUAGES
The MySpeed Server display text can be easily translated to another language, just edit the text in the myspeed.bin file to change the display.

PERFORMANCE
DATABASE
The Professional and NOC Editions record all speed test results in a server-side database that provides visibility to end-user bandwidth performance.

The Session ID option enables easy tagging of results to identify bandwidth performance from individual customers, web pages, locations, etc.

VoIP TESTING
Try MyVoIPSpeed Server to provide VoIP simulation testing to your end-users, to identify the level quality of VoIP sound supported by their connections.

Detail Audit Log -- Annotated

When the MySpeed Server Server-Side Reports module is used, you have access to a very detailed audit log of each MySpeed speed test from the report view. Please note that this information can also be seen on the MySpeed client by pressing the 'i' key in the MySpeed applet window in the web browser. Here is an annotated example of a sample detail log:

MySpeed (tm) 6.1b - http://www.myspeed.com - (c) 1997-2006 Visualware
version of the MySpeed client that was run, plus copyright information
java=Sun Microsystems Inc. Java 1.5.0_06
java vendor and java version running in the client's web browser
client=Windows XP 5.1 x86
the client's OS, version, and architecture
url=http://myspeed.visualware.com/
the web page (full URL) where MySpeed was run from
server=Apache/1.3.29 (Unix) mod_jk/1.2.0
the 'Server' HTTP header field that the client saw from your server
tickres=15 ms
how accurate the timer on the client is. Usually 10 or 15 milliseconds. Note that regardless of this number, MySpeed is still accurate to 1 millisecond.
DOWNLOADING via mss.download.port=40000
the download speed test is via the new MySpeedServer Servlet (via mss.download.port) or via the older HTTP method (via HTTP)

 15 1460 6
 31 1460 6
 46 1460 5

 8000 1460 1
every single socket read that took place during the download speed test. The first column is the elapsed millisecond time. The second column is the bytes read. The third column is the number of times the second column number of bytes was read. So the total number of bytes read at a time interval is the second column multiplied by the third column.
max pause=94 ms
the maximum time between successive socket reads in the detail report above
DOWNLOADED 3,553,056 bytes in 8004 ms (3,551,280 bps) SZ=10485760 F1=173736 F2=17520 EX=6741448
a summary record of the download speed test
 [0,1600) = 899,302 bytes (4,496,510 bps)
 [1600,3201) = 748,511 bytes (3,740,217 bps)
 [3201,4802) = 635,400 bytes (3,175,015 bps)
 [4802,6403) = 638,058 bytes (3,188,297 bps)
 [6403,8004) = 631,781 bytes (3,156,931 bps)
the entire download split into sections, for purposes of determining how the download performed over time (QOS)
QOS=70% (631781/899302)
the calculated QOS number details
UPLOADING via mss.upload.port=40001
the upload speed test is via the new MySpeedServer Servlet (via mss.upload.port) or via the older HTTP method (via HTTP)
UPLOADED 88,572 bytes in 8111 ms (87,352 bps)
a summary record of the upload speed test
 168 ms
 3073 ms
 77 ms
three round-trip-time (RTT) measurement samples
RTT=77
the RTT reported is the smallest of the three RTT samples
